AM I A GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT?
Oh yeah!

Thought for the day: Just because you see, a bunch of cars parked out front does not mean there are people eating there. It could be just the employees.

Italian Grille and Steakhouse

What is in a name? Sometimes nothing but the name. If I were Italian, I would sue this place for using my national name. The Italian Grille and Steakhouse is located about one half miles east of the Arkansas and Oklahoma state line on the north side of U.S. Highway 412. This is a repeat, as I cannot add much more to my horror stories about eating there. This is strictly my opinion and my experience with this restaurant, and is not meant to be a guide for your edification. Hell you might think that this is the greatest place to eat since sliced bread was invented but if you do, you have no taste what so ever. Most likely, you think that spandex pants should only be made in lime green colors only. Personally I have not found anyone during conversations on eateries in the City of Siloam Springs, Arkansas that have had anything GOOD to say about this establishment. I have now eaten there three times. The first time I ate at the Italian Grille & Steakhouse, it was terrible. I thought well it is new and they just need a little time to get the bugs out of the system. Maybe new cooks, maybe a new menu, etc. The food did not kill me but the bill almost did. I looked at the price of the two steak dinners, and almost chocked. I noticed that the woman with me had not eaten much of her food and asked her if she was all right. I asked her if her food was all right, and she said she did not feel hungry. I apologized and told her my steak was not very good being on the dried tuff side. It also had that freeze burnt taste that old beef sometimes takes on I was not impressed. The baked potato was stone cold, and hers was only partially cooked. The supposedly hot fresh dinner rolls were cold, and dried out. The salad was so skimpy it was a blessing as the ranch dressing they were using sucked the big one. I paid the tab, and left vowing to myself not to return.

So what did I do? About a year later I made the mistaken of going back and eating there again. This time it was a little better but overall it was a total FUBAR experience. As I wrote once before I will never, never every eat there again even if the food is free. I think I got to hot one day recently and I broke my oath, and once more, I journeyed to the west end of town to sample The Italian Grille and Steakhouse's cuisine. My mistake.

So here goes; I cannot elaborate on mediocrity even when it is at it very best.

Ratings are One (1) being the worst, and Ten (10) being the best.
Value = 2
Service = 3
Cleanliness = 4
Quality of Food = 1 (I had to give it something - I wanted to give it a minus but the water was good))
Satisfaction = 0
Return factor = 0
Over all score = 1.66 (Big Thumbs Down - No worth the trip - go home and eat some Ramen noodles you‘ll be happier for the experience)
